Blunt bob

A blunt bob creates its shape through the perimeter: the ends read as one deliberate line rather than a stack of visible layers.

Jaw- and chin-length versions make the outline especially obvious, but the exact length can move slightly above or below the jaw. Natural wave, curl and coil can soften the visual line without changing the underlying cut.

Natural curl and coil can make an identical underlying perimeter appear less geometrically straight, so dry-state length matters.
A very precise blunt edge becomes visibly softer as it grows, making maintenance frequency part of the consultation.
Removing too much internal weight changes the silhouette toward a layered bob even if the outer perimeter remains short.
